For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my life to serving the families, students, and neighborhoods of Riverside. As an educator, administrator, community advocate, and longtime resident of Ward 6, I have seen firsthand the challenges our community faces — and the incredible potential we have when we work together. I am running for City Council because Ward 6 deserves a leader who listens, who understands our neighborhoods, and who fights every day to improve the quality of life for every resident.
A Lifetime of Service to Riverside
My journey began in the classroom as a Spanish teacher, later serving as a high school administrator and now as a Trustee for the Alvord Unified School District. For decades, I have worked alongside families — to ensure all students have access to high‑quality education, mentorship, and the support they need to thrive. I have mentored educators who have gone on to become principals and superintendents, and I continue to champion equity, opportunity, and student success.
Beyond the school district, I have served our city as a Commissioner on the Community Police Review Commission, where I worked to strengthen trust, transparency, and accountability between law enforcement and the community. My work has always centered on dignity, fairness, and thoughtful leadership — values I will bring to City Hall.
I will always listen to our neighbors, stand firm on our values, and always fight for what's right.
